2018 Corn Picking & Barn Quilt

Ag Heritage Park Fall Event

Old Settler's Day,

Saturday, September 22, 2018

The Parade was a big hit.
The corn picking event started with Ralph Anderson demonstrating
hand corn husking and then Glen Swartz showing the
one row corn picker pulled by tractor.
Kirby Zimmerman demonstrated the corn binder.
The Edmunds Family demonstrated Lester's
Husker shredder using the bundles made from the binder.
Mike Hohner was on hand to demonstrate his
corn sheller. From there the ear corn went to
Ralph Anderson and his horse, Minnie, to
demonstrate the horse powered ear corn grinder.

Thanks to Roy Gatewood
